Wonderful Friend in the World
 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
Her mother brought her to the world I am taking the privilege to introduce my first friend to the world through web. When people spend lot of their precious time to create a web site for their celebrity. why can't I create a web page for my friend who has all the best quality in the world. She is a life boat to her friends who is sinking in the pool of depression. She mean everything to me. She is my friend philosopher, guide, sister above all she always reminds me my little girl who lives 12,000 miles away from me. She is my lucky friend too. Like my dad I am very sentimental. I was my dad's lucky girl. He started his business after my name. I feel that after I met her luck started to filling my bank balance with big $$$$. Just for fun I created a VB program for her but I never ever though that program going to change my carrier. I was surprised when my manager Allison inspired by my work and told everybody about that program and started preparing resume for me and she herself mail my resume to other department with her strong reference. I started saving my project in my friend Amy's name as Amy, Amy1, etc. before I complete my project with its original name. I am an Indian girl from very conservative family came to US (land of opportunity) to make money and travel around the world. I was craving for good friendship. She was the only person who acknowledge my friendship first In India people have got the impression that girls in us (Including Indian girls) never respect their parents and live on their own after they complete 18 years and start dating when they reach thireetn years and Never take the responsibility to look after their aged and sick parents and support them financially. I was totally against this because teen age girl in India wants to copy the western culture at the same time they could not leave their Indian culture because they totally depend on their parents income. I crossed the teen age so I know how my age group girls sneaked out from the school to meet their boy friend in movie theaters and in the beach. I would have done the same if my mom did not ask my promise to keep up the family name. Because of my promise I could not express my first love to the guy who proposed to me. I feel that the Indian kids in other countries following the Indian culture than the 50% of Indian kids in India who fakes about it. I was amazed to see Amy's affection towards her family. She love her mom, dad beautiful older sister Rachel and pretty twin sister Allison to death. I still remember what she said when she told me that she wanted stay with her sister from her mother's side when her sister go for the surgery. She share her love with her dog Jake. When I went to India I told my friends and relative about Amy and how the kids in US work hard to make money for the tuition and for their personnel expenses. My friends, neighbors and relative did not believe me when I told them that my friend does not drink and my team members at my work more than 10 member don't drink or smoke. My friends called me traitor when I told them that I support Kids in Us than the kids in India . I really admire her responsibilities and maturity which I lack. When she advice me how I should face the world I felt as if my mom is talking to me whenever she encourage and appreciate my skills, I could see my dad and of course her naughty green eyes always reminds me my younger daughter. She is a mother figure to her depressed girl friends. I am positive that she will be a good home maker, a wonderful mother to her children and romantic, glamorous and understanding wife to her husband. A man should be lucky to have her as his girl friend. She has her own weakness. yes she trust everybody and face value so others take advantage of her kind nature and walk over her. Nobody will forgive my stupidity except Amy. I can never forgive myself for what I did to her. I did not answer the door when she was knocking the door standing outside in the rain because I was fast asleep I could not answer the door. I used to enjoy every drop of the rain now it became a nightmare to me rain reminds me the day when Amy stood in the rain waiting for me to answer the door. It is going to be a life long torture to me. She is Libra. she is very out going , understanding and a very good listener. I don't know her hobbies and the things which she is interested in but I do know that she like to taste International food, I don't know what others think about her but I feel that she deserve to be known to the world as my wonderful friend in the world. I was against the internet access because I felt internet access will enslave me. I refused to use AOL for e-mail. I thought if I use AOL for e-mail I may be tempted to surf through the other home pages and waste my time. I wants my friends across the country should know about my friend Amy. I felt only through the web site I could introduce my friend to the world and to my other friends, who lives in India, Singapore, Malaysia, London, France and Middle East. I want to change the old saying Friend in need of friend indeed into friend in need of Amy's friendship indeed. She is always nice to me when I switched my job to another corporate office she used to come and pick me up for lunch and drop me off. Here I should mentioned about Kelli Pimentel who is great person like Amy if I don't mentioned about her I will become an ungrateful person. Both Amy and Kelli came forward to show me driving when I had the problem to get my driver license. It is unfortunate I lost Kelli friendship. She is very diplomatic, sarcastic and good advisor. Except my husband I would like to share all the good memories, nice things and my friends with others but that habbit of mine was one of the reason to loss my great friend Kelli I still like her. I used to enjoy reading both Amy's and Kelli's e-mails. Because Amy's e-mail used to be A (wesome) M (elodious) and Y (ummy) Where as Kelli's e-mail K (notty) E (licit) L (aughable) L (oveable) and I (ntellectual) I am from different country, different culture and different language with my limited vocabulary in English language I submit to the world about my fabulous ,awesome friend Amy brown. Becuase I used my English knowledge to get my college degree and join my dad when he make fun of my mom who does not know English. Gigabyte thanks goes to her parents for giving birth to my most wonderful friends in the world. Her mother who hears her daughter called "a wise girl" will rejoice more than she did at her birth. I would like to thank my first incredible and wonderful manager (US) Ramona Sprague. If she did not hire me I would not have got the opportunity to meet my first friend Amy Brown. I will never get an another manager like Ramona Sprague. In spite of her busy schedule she spends time to send me e-mail regularly. I don't think that any other managers are as friendly as Ramona Sprague. My friend Bernedette always appreciate my work. She is the first person to test all my program which I created for Amy. When ever she see me saving my project files in Amy's name she used to make fun of me "don't make me jealous of Amy at least save one file in my name". She is jolly , jovial and jumpy friend of mine. I really miss her. After I created this home page I asked her to look at it and giver her comments. An appeal to my other great friends in India: Hi guys! please do not mistake me because I mentioned Amy as the most wonderful friend in the world. I am seeing all you guys personalities in her. She is like a rain bow (which reflects all the colors) when she reflects all you guys personalities. She is like our Indian food in which you guys are like A (roma) I (ngredients) and M (asala) Without this three the food won't taste good. I introduced Amy to the world except to my dad from whom I acquired my English knowledge, punctuality, Self discipline (wake up without the setting up the alarm) and good manners (he was very particular that his children should always reply mail and return calls without fail..) . I miss my dad because he was my proof reader, my spell checker, above all who appreciate every step of my new move.

Friend in need of Amy indeed
I always annoy her with my phone calls. Sometimes I call her just to say "Hi". Other times I call her to share some silly or wonderfully exciting thing that just happened. Sometimes I call her because I'm feeling desperate and blue, and I know I can always count on her to pull some dazzling color right out of my situation, and flash it all up in my face 'til she make me smile. Other times I call her because I've got a feeling that she need my ear to be the kind that can bend But mostly, I'm glad that no matter when I call her, I know I can always call her "my friend". She is always kind and nice to me. Return-path: To: [email protected] Date: Wed, 5 Nov 1997 16:24:00 -0600 Subject: RE: Message-ID: Veda, The thing about the phone is... It is hard for me to understand you sometimes, and that I like and rather speak to you over e-mail, you are so witty and it is alot of fun to read your mail, on the other hand I love the phone if I could connect it to my head I would, but I think that with you sometimes it is hard for me to understand you, and therefore I rush off the phone and wait for your e-mails, please do not take this in a mean way, I like having you as one of my friends, and I only wish the best for you! I will try to talk more over the phone... Ok? Sound good? Hopefully we will see eachother before you leave to India, ask Kelli if things, are ok with her, and maybe we will come over together! Ok? As for your Husband situation, I think that you must of thought about this alot and truly made up your mind, and therefore you need to do what you think is right, or you will be kicking yourself if you do not, try not to be intimidated by him ok? And if he tries just think of the US! And you should be fine! You are a better person than that. And just because you are a women, does not mean that you are any less of a person! Understand? Well... You should be fine! Talk to you soon! Love YA, Aim Return-path: To: [email protected] Date: Fri, 31 Oct 1997 13:22:00 -0600 Subject: Re: Message-ID: Veda, Listen here just one second, you do not have to change for anyone, you are perfect the way you are, I just am not used to someone not answering the phone the way you do... Understand? You are so nice and sweet, and you do not need to change! Ok? Well, listen here... I like you no matter what... Hey, wait one second... Where is my recipe for that rice that I had at your house? Yeah, Yeah your forgot about me... Thanks! Talk to you soon! Aim Friendship is to be practiced not for the purpose of laughing but for that of being before hand in giving one another sharp rebukes in case of transgression. Intimate friendship is that which cannot in the least be injured by things done through the right of long standing intimacy. She always cheered me up when I was in depressing mood. She always say: If troubles come, laugh; there is nothing like that, to press upon and drive away sorrow. The pipe is sweet, the lute is sweet". Say those have not experi enced Amy's fri endship. My mind burns with guilty when I think of the rainy day. I can't forgive myself for that. But she is still very nice and kind to me The (proper)punishment of those who have done evil (to you), is to put them to shame by showing great kindness to them.
